Part I

Executive Doctorate

of Business Administration

(approximately two years of part-time study)

This first part of the program consists of 5 compulsory 5-days workshops and a range of associated assessed projects and written work.

Workshops are held either in Pisa or Grenoble. This creates a rich international learning environment since workshops are attended by participants and led by faculty from both institutions. Italian participants can also participate to the lectures offered within the PhD course in Management .

In addition to workshop attendance, the program requirements include:

  • written and oral presentations of research proposal during the compulsory workshops,
  • a pilot proposal, the subject of which will be determined during Workshop 1,
  • a full literature review as a working paper of a publishable standard,
  • a project report and a research plan to be presented during workshop 4. These two outputs will be defended by candidates during workshop 4 and evaluated by a selected committee.

The successful completion of this first stage is compulsory in order to move on to the second part of the program.
